Turn your loved ones precious clothing into a special keepsake to treasure forever.
Along with your memories, these bears are stuffed with Polyester Toy Stuffing, and finished with safety eyes and a perfect little heart shaped nose. They are approx 26cm tall.
There is an added option for a weighted bear- for the birth weight of your child. I use teddy bear steel disc weights, contained within soft bags and tucked in amongst the stuffing. This can be done up to a maximum weight of 10lbs. If this option is chosen, the bear's body will be lined with upholstery cotton, and double stitched to reinforce the seams to provide longevity for your bear.
*Please note- birth weight bears won't necessarily feel like you're holding a newborn baby, due to the weight not being evenly distributed as it would with a real baby. They tend to feel heavier, even though they are the correct weight.*
Another added extra is the embroidery- this can be done on the tummy or the paw pads.
Sending the clothes-
Once you have ordered, I will send you an email within 48 hours. This will contain instructions on where to send your clothing. I recommend sending it using a trackable service.
You can reply to this email with any instructions you have regarding favourites and how you'd like me to use the clothing, and any embroidery.
I will then notify you once I have received your clothing and it will take me approx 3-4 weeks from receiving your clothing to complete your bear.
How many items to send-
Baby clothing - 8-10 pieces of clothing, this is likely to be more than required but I like to have more than enough.
Older child/Adult- 2-3 pieces of clothing.
Clothing needs to be clean & in reasonable condition. Clothing that is too worn will impact the quality of the finished product.
Please ensure you select option of whether you'd like the remainder of your clothing/fabrics returned to you with the bear.
These bears can not be tested due to using clothing that cannot be tested. Therefore, they are intended for decorative purposes only and are not a toy. They should not be played with by children under 14 years.
All Memory Bears are posted with DPD next day express delivery and are fully insured up to £100.
